About Me

Director
The Posada Art Foundation is dedicated to educating and promoting the legacy of Mexican artist Jose Guadalupe Posada (1852-1913). In 2014, we helped produce a documentary exploring the collaboration of Mexican publisher Antonio Vanegas Arroyo (1852-1917) and printmaker Jose Guadalupe Posada, aiming to record and acknowledge their collective influence on art and social movements. Their work revealed much about our nature as humans, including the disparity between rich and poor, political corruption and through the now famous calaveras, our very mortality. As Director of the privately held Posada Art Foundation, we currently oversee one of the largest collections of Posada's works, exceeding 2,500 items, our mission is to protect, conserve the collection while educating and promoting the work and legacy of Posada. It is my hope that this effort will help to inspire as well as educate.
